  • Very interesting indeed. I immediately went to how this works for silicone and there are some good lessons in here. Customers want what they want now—who cares what you might do in a a year because it'll be a fairytale in 3 months. Deliver the magic today don't promise the dream tomorrow.

  • I think autoshow attendees are self selecting towards power/size/high end. There are plenty of economy/hybrid enthuiastist out there, but they are marketed to differently. Google for hyper milers and you will see. The Tesla is a product in search of a market. Hybrids are practical and cost effecctive in certain use cases, namely people that commute a lot.
